Communities
I have worked in South Africa, Vanuatu and Australia, researching children's problem-solving and learning strategies across diverse cultural settings. I have had the pleasure of working with the !Xun, Khwe and the Khomani of the Northern Cape of South Africa, the Tannese communities of Ikunala and Yakel in Vanuatu, and the Garrwa and Yanyuwa communities of Northern Australia. I am thankful for the generosity and hospitality of all of these communities.
Doing so is not possible without the amazing local collaborators and research assistants that I and my co-authors work with, and the relationships my mentors have built with these unique communities. We strive to work towards sustainable, ethical and collaborative research relationships in our cross-cultural research.
